Our philosophy is based on the ideal of what is in the best interests of each player in the program. Eagle Football Players will be held accountable in every sense of the word, and it is our job as coaches and teammates to help everyone meet this goal. Players will be treated fairly and with respect. Our goal is to use football as a tool in becoming a productive member of our society. We will emphasize respect, honesty, accountability, & responsibility in our working with your son. It is important to realize that the coaches are on the same side as your son. When we coach him, we will coach him professionally and very enthusiastically. When he is corrected it will never be personal or insulting.
Commitment is our foundation. The game of football is demanding of your time and effort. Teammates will be expected and encouraged to participate in off-season development opportunities in a united effort to see how successful we can become as a football team. It is expected that this commitment to “individual improvement” and “team improvement” will bring out the very “best” in the each of us. Football is a physical sport and can be a violent game. We are committed to helping your son meet the demands of the game and discover his strengths as well as confronting any weaknesses that may affect his ability to compete at the highest level possible.
Winning is important. It is anticipated. It will be that for which we prepare. Winning is necessary in order that each of us will continue the unselfish commitment to the team that is wholesome. This commitment brings a great feeling to every squad member. You are a part of an elite group. You will be needed and counted upon. You become a loyal friend to your teammates and coaches.
As Coaches, we do understand our unique relationship with your son and we will never violate the trust you have placed in us.
